Czechs abroad, what do you think of Pilsner Urquell?
If you grew up in the Czech Republic but now live far from the country, here’s a question: What do you think of Pilsner Urquell compared to non-Czech beers or wine? What’s your current preference and why? Do you find PU bitter or heavy compared to other beers? Or are other beers just bland? Has your taste profile changed since you left CZ? Any short perspective is deeply appreciated.

Urquell has never been my favorite even while living in the CR. It’s pretty bitter for my taste. It’s always nice to have a little taste of home but I do not go out of my way to drink it even though it’s easily accessible where I live. I like some of the Swedish stuff (Spendrups) and also Carlsberg (Denmark). Beside those, I enjoy Sleeman’s from Canada and Boston Lager from Sam Adam’s (USA) is pretty good (in my opinion). I do feel like my taste profile has changed over the years of living abroad.

Where can I buy Pilsner Urquell beer in/near Montreal?
I’m starting to have so much cravings for that beer after going to Czech Republic and it has became my favorite beer. And I can’t seem to find any Pilsner Urquell beer in Montreal…
Oh and and it would also be nice to know if they IMPORTED in or near Montreal.

Check at the local liquor store. They often sell more types of imported beer than the beer store.

Why would you want to ? Tastes like pee ! I you really have to drink it, contact the importers and ask for a list of pubs, they will gladly tell you.
